Although BMW released some initial pics of the all-new 6-Series around the time of the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, they weren't that detailed. However, the company has unveiled a bunch more. So we made sure to get them in our gallery for your viewing pleasure.
Usually most companies reveal the pictures and the car at the same time but BMW pulled the 'ol switcharoo and will be debuting the new 6-Series at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show.

Other than the front and rear overhangs, I think it is a beautiful car. The interior is very impressive.

I love it not as aggressive as the current model but it is more toned down with slight aggressiveness and it still has the Bangle theme going on with the trunk

I own a 2008 6-series coupe & I gotta be honest I'm not pleased with the design of the new 6...Extremely disappointed!

I think the new 6 is just okay, I saw the spyshots of the 6 nd was unimpressed so I just bought a triple black E550 convertible instead.

Very sexy. But it will drive like a GT. Bmw has to start making their cars lighter.

Well it is a big gt, I don't think it was designed to be a light little sports car. thats what the 3 series it for. BMW is building the largest commercial carbon fiber plant in the world so their cars will be getting very light soon.

If you want a less GT car, get a 1 series convertible or M3 convertible. This is their GT class car!

Gotta agree with "CigarGuy." The writing from the poster known as "jenniwinslet" comes across as 100% male. But worse still, also comes across as 110% spammer :-(

Design wise it is a big step up from the ugly outgoing model. Though the 'shark look' from some angles of outgoing model was nice and is missing from the new design.

To *my* eyes, it's a huge step up from the outgoing 6, but still not my cup of tea in terms of exterior styling. I like the interior pretty much. Maybe I have come to expect too much from BMW?

Agreed. Definitely an improvement over the last Gen 6, but that doesn't make it awesome, yet. The exterior is imply less offensive and is now just generic looking. It lacks the striking looks of a Maserati, sadly enough, I think the new E coupe convertible has more presence.
The interior on the other hand is worthy of great praise, looks great.

I dont think bmw has a true sports cars. Except M. 1 series is not a sports car!! Why do u think it is?!

Because they are not a sports car manufacture. BMW makes Sporty luxury cars. With exception to the M cars which are in many instances benchmark sports cars. Who makes the best sports cars IYO....besides Porsche?

Bmw: ultimate used to be driving machine. Go read reviews or test drive new 5 series. No driving emotions. Guess what?! New 6 is based on 5.

well, the 5 is selling like CRAZY. i have the 2011 535i and love it. it has tipped more toward luxury than sport than the prior models. however, it's still far more sporty than the E-class or other competitors. that's why the 5 leads the category in sales. i'm sure the 6 will do quite well too.

much like the new 5, it's a clean and much more refined update to the prior model. looks tasteful, has sharp character lines and the interior (again, much like the new 5) is beautifully finished.
and god knows that engine is wonderful.

I still think bmw is the ultimate driving machine compare to other cars except porsche. But i still think they r getting heavier and lazier somehow. I lov bmw and a true fan is honest.
