2011 North American Car of the Year Finalists Are Announced
The three finalists for North American Car of the Year honors were announced on Thursday, with the Hyundai Sonata, Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf vying for bragging rights.

At the 2011 Detroit Auto Show next month, 49 automotive journalists will reveal the 2011 North American Car and Truck of the Year.

The finalists for the 2011 North American Truck of the Year are the Dodge Durango, the Ford Explorer and the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The awards are unique in the United States because — instead of being given by a single media outlet — they are awarded by a coalition of automotive journalists from the United States and Canada who represent magazines, television, radio, newspapers and web sites.
To be eligible a vehicle must be all new or “substantially changed.”

I'm voting for Barack Obama. He deserves to win NACOTY just as much as his Nobel Peace Prize!

The new Chevy and GMC truck HD are touting boxed frames, compression release [jake brake], jell ride cabs, and on the HD concept a dissconnecting front swaybar and noticed the lack of a factory winch. So your saying they will get NA truck of the year for things DODGE did years ago? BTW the Durmax pumped to that kind of torque numbers is a time bomb. There just playing catch-up to Dodge and Ford
