Really? THIS Won The BEST Redesign For 2011?

Really? THIS Won The BEST Redesign For 2011?
Really? This is the best redesigned car of the year for 2011? Out of all the new cars for the 2011 model year?

Don't get me wrong, the all-new 2011 Honda Odyssey isn't an Accord Crosstour but considering the competition, is this the best Kelley Blue Book could have picked for the best redesign?

**Take a look at the nine other vehicles that were in contention for the crown and weigh in:

Which vehicle do you think is the best redesign for 2011?

Winner: 2011 Honda Odyssey

It is commonly understood that the most daunting task a vehicle designer can face is that proverbial "clean sheet of paper," which these days might be translated as the "blank computer screen." But we at Kelley Blue Book submit that it can be equally daunting, if not more so, to have the responsibility to redesign a highly successful, hot-selling model that is widely regarded as the pinnacle of its class. In that instance success is expected, while the chance to disappoint looms at every turn. Happily, the designers and engineers responsible for the 2011 Honda Odyssey minivan faced down that challenge by looking it right in the eye, and the result of their efforts is our Kelley Blue Book Best Redesigned Vehicle for 2011...

...The class of 2011 is filled with more than its share of excellent redesigned models, but when all was said and done the Editorial staff of Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com agreed that the 2011 Honda Odyssey is the very best of an extremely impressive and competitive field.

Not looking for a three-row troop transport? Here in alphabetical order are the nine other vehicles that made up our list of Best Redesigned Vehicle finalists...

These award and recognition things are just someone's opinion, and sometimes that opinion is motivated by factors other than the reward criteria. If were to take to heart what each "expert" proclaimed, we'd be a sorry lot, wouldn't we?

The only time I'll accept an "Expert's" opinion is when we are in agreement :)

It should have been last place in the list of contenders -- they are all better than this droopy-butt van...

I am thinking that all autospies members need to start spamming fashingoods.us with as much crap as they can so the company sees what it is like. Don't send this from your personal email address as you will likely be added to their spam list. Instead sign them up to receive 'coupons' by email, catalogs, or anything that says it repeatedly sends out emails.

Best redesign for 2011 in my opinion goes to the Dodge Durango. Gen 1 was good, Gen 2 I don't know what they were thinking but Gen 3 Is very nice. Along with the new chassis and the pen V6. Not this boring minivan.

Honda is still a great car company, they've just lost their way a bit when it comes to exterior design. I think they realise this by now, but it takes a few years to get to the "re-set" point. It seems that alot of car companies are rotating chief designers at the moment anyhow, it's like musical chairs of the automotive world lol.
