DETROIT AUTO SHOW PREVIEW: Toyota Teases Prius Addition On Video

Although we have seen the spy shots and we have a pretty good idea of what the new and larger Prius is going to look like, Toyota has teased it in lieu of the 2011 Detroit Auto Show.

Said to have 50 percent more room than the standard Prius, while obtaining similar fuel economy, it may just blow the doors off of the show's other hybrid unveils. Can we be sure yet? No, since someone always comes to the show and shows off something no one ever heard about.

Toyota said Thursday it will reveal its family of Prius hybrid vehicles at the North American International Auto Show next month in Detroit.

The Prius family consists of four Prius-badged variants: the third-generation standard Prius, a plug-in hybrid Prius, a new Prius concept car and a larger Prius with 50 percent more cargo room...

The first Prius looked good.It seems to me they are going backwards in the design of the Prius.It gets uglier with every update.Resembles the Aztek.

I die a little inside when I see a guy like Burnquist lay down and blatantly hawk a product like that.. Especially a Prius.

I'd love to comment on the car but it was almost impossible to get a legit view. I like the general idea though.

Can they tease a day when all Prius drivers learn to "drive Right" and not encumber the commute of everyone that uses the one & two lanes of the freeway?
