Ford launches new Econo Check iPhone app to help you cut fuel costs

Ford is offering a gadget that will help drivers in the U.K. drive more fuel-efficiently. The Econo Check app helps cut fuel costs and it eliminates having to check the fuel gauge or the car’s computer constantly to determine how much fuel is left. This app measures potential fuel savings for any car by considering the make, model, age and annual mileage and then sends the fuel efficient driving tips it finds online directly to your iPhone or iPad. For this to work, a chip called the data logger will have to be fitted into the vehicle.
