VIDEO: Is Mulholland Drive The Most Dangerous Road?

VIDEO: Is Mulholland Drive The Most Dangerous Road?
Easily one of the most twisty and fun roads to drive on is Mulholland Drive in southern California. But, there is one problem with this: the road is open to the public.

Now while that may not seem like a big deal, it is when everyone pretends they are Michael Schumacher vying for the Formula 1 championship in every corner. And when the road is frequented by plenty of auto nuts and bikers, someone is likely to get hurt. Especially when you have more money than brains or as this video displays, more power than brains.

Having recently driven on this piece of road it's easy to see why people can get carried away, but it is also very easy to see why people can get killed quickly.

**If you're ever on Mulholland, make sure to keep your eyes peeled at all times because you just don't know what awaits you on the other side of the bend

Not intended represent all drivers on the Snake. The majority drive sensibly and stay in their own lane. CHP aggressively tickets offenders, both bikes and cars...

@nonofyobus

You're right.

I think we have to consider the idiot drivers on a road when thinking about how dangerous it is.

It's kind of like "the gun thing." Guns don't actually kill people, it's the idiots pulling the trigger.

And no, I don't watch Ice Road Truckers.

Angel Crest is a more dangerous one.

especially if you ride a motorcycle.

Mulholland is not the most dangerous road in Los Angeles because everyone knows it's twisty and people like to go there to test the laws of physics.

I would say that the stretch of road in Orange County/Irvine is more dangerous because STUPID people in fast cars try to race each other there and usually one, or both, die in the ensuing crash.

So many stereotypes documented in the video, though it is biased against those on four wheels.

My favorites:

Asian chick in the evo driving on the wrong side of the road
Base Mini-Cooper driver actually driving off the road
Douche in bright blue Murcielago trying to impress his coke whore

Mulholland? Seriously?

Try doing the Road to Hana in Maui. No guard rails, cliffs and a single lane road that is somtimes unpaved, with two way traffic and landslides all the time.
