VW Group plans to build Porsche Cayman, Boxster, VW Golf at the same plant
The Volkswagen Group is working on a production plan that covers more of the brands it owns. The plan includes a strategy to produce the Porsche Cayman, the Boxster and the Volkswagen Golf in the same facility. But this would only be possible if the Zuffenhausen facility, current assembly plant that will build the two Porsche models, will reach its maximum capacity, prompting VW to find other ways to cope with demand. This is another step in VW's corporate management bending Porsche's
will to its own...its a corporate power play packaged as a financially
sound move (which it also may be but secondary). When times get even tougher sometime down the road whose budgets and development expenses
will be cut first...Porsche's ! Buy your Porsche now because in eight years you may see a different brand then the one you hold so dear.

There's always Finland, where Valmet Automotive contracts to build most of the Boxster/Caymans. Apparently they are screwing the parts together well, with these cars topping reliablity awards.
