Deustche Bank just downgraded GM to Sell two days ago. Why? Cause they are Deustche Bags! GM is doing well and the downgrade is over speculation...stupid! Anyways GM had it coming and only when the S*** hits the fan do they finally do what they are capable of.

Japan has a few distinct advantages. 1) They are in Japan and makes money from other countries that have stronger currency then the Yen (US and Euro). This helps them profit in their own country very nicely and wages are easier to maintain in Japan. 2) No unions. They see how the unions try to suck every penny for workers. Very anti-compromise and threaten to strike at any time they don't get what they want. These two factors alone give Toyota and Japanese firms a big advantage.

GM needs to maintain their leadership and vast research and development in the auto industry.

Interesting info 001Buster. Didn't know the Gov't went that far. I guess all GM can fall back on is the Gov't bailing them out of Chapter 7 or 11 which I do not see that happening. Allot of factors contribute to a companies success besides the business itself.
