WTF? Toyota Whistleblower Fined $2.6 Million For Disclosing Secrets
A retired California judge arbitrating a dispute between Toyota Motor Corp.'s U.S. sales company and a former in-house attorney, Dimitrios Biller, ordered him to pay Toyota $2.6 million in damages and stop disclosing confidential company information.
Biller, who worked at Toyota Motor Sales USA from 2003 to 2007, and Toyota had agreed to settle their dispute by binding arbitration, which limits the grounds for appeal.
A self-styled whistle-blower, Biller had sued Toyota for defamation, fraud and racketeering, while Toyota had sued him for violating confidentiality and severance agreements.

Whistleblower laws are in place for a reason. The problem now is where do you draw the line?

No Snitching? Some folks here are starting to sound like teenage inner-city youths.
BlackDynamite, if someone killed your Girlfriend and you knew who it was, I guess you wouldn't tell the police (snitch)? Protecting the murderer is the better alternative?
I'd snitch out my employer in a second if they were killing people. These Toyota fans are unbelievable. Rather than have their beloved brand’s name tarnished, they’d rather have any deaths that Toyota caused kept quiet. That isn’t brand Loyalty, that’s brand insanity. Toyota has the worse fans.

Why would a teenage girl come up with the name LexSucks? That doesn't make any sense dude.
And as far as showing proof that Toyota's killed people? Toyota settled with the plaintiffs. That implies guilt to me buddy.

Nah dude. You’re the sucker. You’re a sucker for changing the subject of this thread. This thread was about Whistle-Blowing. I made a comment about the stupid comments about snitching. In which you respond to me by asking me "can you show any examples of people killed by Toyota's negligence?" Who the hell was talking about that? Not me.
And you are right, I am a sucker. I'm a sucker for allowing you to divert the conversation and I fell for it. I’m not surprised though, its human nature to try to change the subject when you don’t have a valid point about the previous subject.
Can we stick to the subject? Which was whistle blowing (snitching). Do you think that it’s right or wrong for someone to report their employer’s wrong doings? Or is it only wrong if Toyota employees do it. Do you think he should have been fined?

I'm talking about you saying something and then not backing it up. When pressed you didn't have anything to say to back up your own false belief about the "couch potatoe cushy riding Lexus IS-F". That quote was from you. and it was 100% pure fanboy BS.
And what story's did I make up. Did Toyota's kill people? I don't know. But where there's smoke, there's fire. Live with it.

"What was that you were saying about Toyota not trying to sell Lexus to Europeans?"
- I said Europeans won't buy Lexuses. Which is true. As for bringing an argument from another thread? That's what happens when you run away from what you said in the other thread. And you still didn't admit that you were wrong about the cushy riding IS-F. I have no problem admiting when I am wrong. The same cannot be said for you. Instead of admiting that you were wrong, you ended up getting all silent and hoped that it went away. It didn't.

"So post away. It is fun watching you spin out of control once your lies are questioned. You see, not everyone on Autospies is some BMW badgewhore."
- What makes you think that I am a BMW badgewhore? BMW has some cars that are sucky just like all other brands. I don't care about any brand. Which is more than can be said about you Toyota Fanboy.

I’m done with you and your fellow delusional Toyota loving friend Sportbike80. Stick to the subject. This isn’t about me; it’s about Toyota and their crappy, cheaply made, profit-first cars. Which is how Toyota got in this mess in the first place. Get a clue.

LexSucks writes ""Winner of online argument=still retarded" - Why?"
The saying goes like this...
Arguing on Usenet [the Internet] is like running in the Special Olympics: Even if you win, you're still retarded.
The reasoning behind this saying is that everyone has an opinion, and it seems the Internet is where anyone can voice theirs. And everyone believes they are right! It's a hollow victory when you get a Millennial who loves in a wood-paneled basement bedroom at mum 'n dad's place to concede.
For the record, I feel my opinion is just that: An opinion. Many folks are convinced their opinion is "The Truth."

The 2010 Lexus LS ranks 2 out of 7 Super Luxury Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 107 published reviews and test drives of the Lexus LS, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The Lexus LS offers one of the finest interiors available anywhere, and an options list longer than any of its major rivals. It’s powerful, but clearly trails European rivals in driving excitemen

I'll put it real slow for ya: IF he was fined, AND Severance/confidentiality agreements hold no power over the public's protection ......this had nothing to do with public protection or he WOULDN'T have been fined. See how easy that is?
Or
Self defence is a possible argument against a murder charge......but he's found guilty.....so it WASN'T self defence.
