Severance/confidentiality agreements hold no power over the public's protection. Any basic ethics class will teach you that.

I fail to see your flow of logic, revealing insider information regarding the potential safety of a company and its products is acting in the public's better interest.

I'll put it real slow for ya: IF he was fined, AND Severance/confidentiality agreements hold no power over the public's protection ......this had nothing to do with public protection or he WOULDN'T have been fined. See how easy that is?
