Toyota expects to outperform the U.S. market in 2011

Toyota didn’t do so well in 2010 as it had to endure the recall crisis but in 2011, the carmaker predicts that it will outperform the U.S. auto market. Toyota executives told analysts last Monday that the overall market is expected to expand to 12.5 million cars and light trucks in 2011. The carmaker also expects that the U.S. sales figures will show the increase of light vehicle sales to around 11.5 million in 2010 compared to 10.4 million in 2009.
