SPY PHOTOS: Next BMW M3 caught testing in Santa Barbara

Brooks Uhrig from SB Euroclub was in the fortunate position to catch the new BMW M3 in testing.

Great job Brooks!

On a side note, we sure hope they choose better wheels for the real car.

The only consistent gripe with virtually every M car we have is the stock wheel choice that BMW makes.

that anyone would actually buy this beast is just stunning! from the ugly rear to the unsexy lines, to the arrogrant BMW dealers and poor wheel choices, why, oh why?

if you ever pay attention on the road to BMW's it's the 5,6, and 7 spoke (7 specifically) that makes heads turn, they are just gorgeous.

Maybe BMW's are going for the new "Stealth" look perhaps.... And that gaping hole in the front bumper...what's up with that??? Really weird...

Its got a fat a$$. Wish they retained the side vents from the last M3. These pics show the new M3 riding very low; wonder if that will translate to actual M3s @ dealerships.

I think it's a little difficult to design a very aggressive car when the 'base' is a very rounded and flowing car.

Then again, I know I'm not a designer. But I think they will be able to pull it off.

I think that the general concensus has been clarified already. The new 3 coupe doesn't look anything near as good as the last generation's.

The 2006 330ci looked agressive. The 2006 M3 looked even MORE agressive. I don't think that there was anybody out there in the world that ever argued that the beauty of the 2006 330ci/i/M.

To this?

The front doesn't look feminine now; it looks GAY!

I didn't mean to call the last generation feminine, but simply saying that the new design isn't feminine, but gay. Old design = macho/awesome.

just saw the same car in seal beach ca. It was parke d but I didnt have my camera. There was definitly some masking on the car. Both bumpers had big time covers on them. I love bmws but I think the old M3 looked alot better edgy. This car has no angles too smooth.

I hate too say this but I think bmw needs to follow in fords footsteps and go with the retro look. As in late 90s early 00s. This is when there cars were aloooooooooooot better looking
