With the ever declining $USD, the U.S. will soon be able to compete with countries like Mexico, China & India for low wage manufacturing.

Every Z3 ever built was made is Spartanburgh, North Carolina. If it makes sense to build in the US, the do it. If it makes better sense to build elsewhere, then oh well.

My 2003 BMW Z4 was made in the U.S. and it was rock solid. Not a single problem during the 5.5 years I owned it.
Easily the best car I ever had (in all respects). I can only hope my new Bimmer (1-series) built in Deutschland hold up as well.

It's more like 32 hours a week, and it's possible for the Average worker to have 6 to 8 weeks of vacation time VS the American 2 to 4 weeks.

So they are going to build the 3 and 5 here and increase the sale price to cover Americna wages? Awesome, soon to come the 2015 BMW 3 series starting at $45K for a 325i. Oh wait, it almost costs that much today.

Actually, "Americna wages" are lower than Euro labor costs (given recent exchange rates) - so why would they have to raise prices?
