Job Well Done? Ford Hourly Workers May Get Profit Sharing Bonuses Of $5,000 Each
Ford is evaluating ways to change Ford’s profit sharing formula for hourly workers, Mark Fields, Ford’s president of the Americas, said Wednesday.

The Dearborn automaker, which is expected to report total earnings of more than $8 billion for 2010, is in the process of calculating its profit sharing for employees based on those expected profits.

The New York Times, citing unnamed sources, estimated that workers could get about $5,000 for 2010. Last year, Ford paid workers about $450 for the profits earned in 2009.

If it were my company I would give them profit sharing based on the quality and the amount of production, I think they get paid well and why not? they are the last of the middle class, I believe that the execs take pay cuts to match the workers and they all rely on profit share, imagine how good the quality would be.

Fellow bloggers: uaw_(ex)lax once again showed his moronic side again. Check out the topic that AutoSpies posted a couple weeks ago called: "Tell Me Why We Still Need the UAW". The predictable uaw_(ex)lax thought he knew everything (not), but once again THIS current topic proved the FACTS, and that he was dead wrong. In the prior topic, I noted how my (jacka@@ brother) worked for Ford Motor Comapny for 32 years as an hourly UAW worker getting: Discretionary bonus, COLA increases, other income bonuses (such as profit sharing, etc). The turd (ex)lax said UAW stopped giving bonuses, COLA and etc. So I called my duma@@ brother who laughed when I suggested his comment. He replied "call it what you want to COLA's, profit sharing and discreationary bonuses, but us UAW workers are NOT hurting for raises from Ford's.

Now in THIS recent story confirmed the facts I tried to point out to him. Hey turd (ex)_lax; here is a few snippets (just in case you have another excuse):

"Typically, Ford pays out profit sharing checks to its employees in mid-March."

"For the future, Ford would like the UAW to consider a profit sharing formula that is tied to more variables than just company profits"

Finally - notice the Detroit Free Press cited some of this information. I told uaw_(ex)lax my brother worked at the Sterling Heights, Michigan plant near Detroit.

As stated many times over: uaw_(ex)lax stupidity, predictability and biasness toward pro-unions always comes out. His sheer lack of knowledge about what REALLY goes on inside EACH separate UAW plant demonstrates he's nothing more than a "wanabee" auto enthusiast. Now he'll tells us all the Detroit Free Press story was made up.

@ "internationalmanofmystery" - Don't expect a response from UAW_(EX)Lax. He always gives some babbling answer without providing ANY meaningful input to the discussion. Notice he never addressed anything about the discreationary bonuses, profit sharing checks, etc I mentioned that UAW workers (including my goofy brother) get. But he noted on our other blog, they don't get any of those "perks" anymore.

Maybe the dinosaur UAW members should focus more on improving their pot smoking, beer drinking lunch time imagine their famous for; rather then having a seat on GM/Ford's corporate boards,

"gkearns56",

Pay no attention to anything "uaw_lax" has to say. He's considered the village idiot here on Autospies. Review his comment history and you'll see that he has by far the most deboosted comments on this forum. As his screen name suggests, he's intellectually challenged and completely lacking in rational thought and reading comprehension.
