VIDEO: Glickenhaus' P4/5 Competizione is ALIVE!
The king of modern one-off Ferraris is Jim Glickenhaus. If you didn't already know, this is the lad who had the Enzo-based P4/5 done up by Pininfarina. Now that he's upped the ante with the 430 Scuderia-based P4/5 Competizione, he's going to take it racing.

Although it's been a long process, it appears the car has been completed. However, it still has plenty of testing to undergo before it makes its track debut.

Scroll down to see some of the initial videos captured by some of the first people to see it run.

There’s still much to be discovered about James Glickenhaus’ Ferrari P4/5 Competizione racecar, but judging by the latest update on the dedicated Facebook page, the F430 Scuderia-based competition model has reached the final stages of its development, hitting the racetrack for the very first time...

...Racing pilot Fabrizio Giovanardi and engineer Paolo Garella drove the P4/5 Competizione during the track test held in Torino.

“The test was fine, or better fantastic. The car is so easy to drive and all the controls light and very direct. The circuit was very short but I was able to go up to the 3rd gear. Engine and gearbox very light,” said the first test report, uploaded to Facebook less than 24 hours ago...

What a design masterpiece. I think I would wet my pants if I saw this coming up behind me on the highway.

@t_bone

Well, if you live in the Westchester, NY area that could very well happen as Glickenhaus has said that this car will be used on the road after she races.

i highly doubt that, i mean the enzo based street legal version parks in his driveway. driving a racecar without aircon and insulating materials on public roads is not as much fun as you think and glickenhaus knows that.

i wonder if they'll manage to attend 2 VLN races till june otherwise they won't be allowed to start at the 24H of the ring
