First photos of the new 2012 BMW 6-Series Coupe 100% uncovered
Here it is, the 6-Series coupe completly uncovered...

This particular 6-Series seems to wear Space Gray paint and is probably a 640i, given the rounded exhaust tips and smallish wheels (not clear if those will be the stock wheels or if we are looking at winter wheels). Whatever wheels these are, they do not compliment the car at all. Fear not, the new 6 will come from the factory with some larger options which will transform the car, thats for sure!

The 640i will utilize the all new N55 TwinScroll turbocharged 6 cylinder engine producing 320HP and 450Nm of torque. The 650i will sit alongside the 640i and will house the same 4.4L twin turbo V8 as in the 550i and 750i that is good for a little over 400HP. Full specifications are available here.

The new 6-Series will be debuting at the Geneva Autoshow this spring (March 2011), and will come in both a 640i and 650i variants.

It's the closest they've come to recapturing the look of my favorite BMW of all time, the 635 of the late 80's.

Looks good, I like the roof line and trunk.

It looks nice but the rear profile of the trunk is to low for me I do not like it. I do not know why but BMW and MB are doing ugly designs , specily in the front. i think is the new europe normatives.

It's handsome but conservative and bland. The 80's 6 series was a better looking beast in my opinion. There is a lack of tension in the design.

The hard top 6 looks great very low, and sleek. Just change the snow wheels/tire and its a winner.

Unfortunately, for me it's a big DUD.

Too much front and rear overhangs, looks bloated an inoffensive. It's not the way I like my 6ers.

It's just not as sleek as the the 80's 6 serie and following 8 series. It's bloated and gentle looking.
The previous 6er was not that great looking too, but at least it was badass, not this.

No thanks.

I saw the convertible version in Detroit and it looks amazing. The car has a very low, and wide look to it in person that's not as apparent in photos. I think I may like the coupe better, cant wait to see it with the M sport package.

The overhangs are too long and the shape is not the brute in a suite cars like the 3.0 CSL, 635 and M6 used to symbolize. The CS concept seemed like a step in the right direction but not enough rubbed off here. Not too special unfortunately... and I have enjoyed BMWs for 30 years but lately....they are not doing it. 1M over styled or too many lines in the nose and tail and then this. Their SUVs are the best designs baring the 3 series coupe.

Thank you BMW!! I HAAAATED the previous 6 series. This is like an even nice, more luxuries 5 series coupe. I can't wait to see the M version.

Like the design except front overhangs. Agree design is a little softer than before just like new 5 series compared to the old model.
More focused towards luxury than sport this time and design should reflect that.

Does anyone have an idea as to when the M version will be available? March 2012?

The F10 M5 will makes its concept debut possibly as early as March.

"The production M5 is expected to premier at the 2011 Frankfurt IAA autoshow in September 2011 (with an internet reveal a few months earlier). Euro deliveries will begin in November 2011 and US deliveries begin in Spring 2012." Bimmerpost.com

I would think the M6 will debut shorty after the M5.
