What will BMW's X3 diesel look like in the States? How about 47 mpg?

The latest rumor is that the X3 will be one of the next recipients of a diesel power plant in the U.S. The 2.0-liter diesel engine in the X3 gets 47 mpg on the highway and the oil burner-happy folks at the Diesel Driver magazine just took an X3 from Munich to Berchtesgaden and Austria to see how it performs.
