RENDERED SPECULATION: A More Out Of The Box Look For BMW's FWD Car?

A major criticism of the post-Bangle era BMW designs has been that they have been a bit too stale, too conservative and straight up boring. Granted, when you compare any design to Bangle's work, anything is staid.

So, someone with a little bit of Photoshop skills decided to test out their luck with an intriguing rendering that seems to bring together a bunch of BMW designs. A closer look will reveal what appears to be 5-Series kidney grills, a 1-Series cage, E30-inspired front venting, the new 6-Series' front valence and an E46 318Ti headlights.

After taking a look, let your thoughts digest and discuss: is this what BMW needs to do to freshen up its current look?


Here is the face to the new BMW Compact.

The new BMW 1er Coupe and Cabrio will get something similiar which takes the car back to it's 2002 origins. The single light is accomodated by three LED bars at the side of the main unit for increased illumination.

BMW's evolved from single headlights to two. The design in real life , actually works quite well and gives the car a very unique identity...

I'd love if BMW could come up with a modern interpretation of their twin headlamp/horizontal bar look from the 80's and 90's...If done right, it could be stunning

It will not be a 1 Series Touring. It will be called a 1 Series GT.
