Godzilla Gets Upgraded For 2012 And WE Have The Nissan GT-R's Owners Manual
Probably one of the most profound cars in the automotive world is the Nissan GT-R. Say what you want, it may not have the pedigree of some of Europe's finest but make no bones about it, the car is as quick as lightning.
And for 2012 the GT-R has only gotten better. It has undergone some improvements that make it even quicker than before. Nissan will not let the Porsche 911 Turbo will not sleep easy.
Even if you can't afford it, we can hook you up with the owner's manual for free. It's a start!
Additionally, we have two videos that go over the 2012 Nissan GT-R extensively. So, sit back and relax.
2012 Nissan GT-R Owners Manual
One interesting part from the manual - Launch Control, and its even listed in the manual this time. LC4. 4,000 rpms. Expect some 0-60 times in the high 2 second range. LC4 can only be used 4 times consecutively to protect the transmission and clutches...

Would you stop Nissan? Shift some talents to make FI engine for G/M/Z and make the BEAUTY version of GT-R for Infiniti? Hell, I don't even mind a convertible as long as it looks nice!

I like that idea. It would be a true "value" alternative to a Audio R8 V10. A lot of the luxuries and 3 times the performance at almost half the price.

This is what progression gets you. I am very impressed by the GT-R program.

An Infiniti version of the GT-R? Really dlin? And I suppose you would love to see a 'Lexus' Supra as well?

They throw everything and the kitchen sink into a sports car for nissan, and leave infiniti to fight with a hefty, underpowered altima coupe lookalike that cant keep up with LESS powerful six cylinders; BRILLIANT move nissan! /sarc
If this thing had been an infiniti, at or near this same price, it would have made them a contender, instead of a pretender.

@Bmw8ter... LOL totally agree!! Foot is in my mouth, but unlike the GT-R, the LFA is way too overpriced at $375k... the Supra didn't cost nearly as much as a Ferrari when it debuted, and given a choice, I would take the good ol' Supra over the LFA in a heartbeat. Heck, I'd take a used R34 or R35 GTR over that overpriced Lexus anyday.
@tattedtwice... FYI all those 'Infiniti' vehicles you see on US soil are badged as Nissans in Japan. So I suppose all those Infiniti cars sold as Nissans (IE: Infiniti G37 in US = Nissan Skyline in Japan) in Japan are just pretenders and the only contenders are those badged as Infiniti's eh? This is exactly why Nissan badges some of their cars under the Infiniti brand... for suckers and badgewhores like you

lets just not focus on the cars performance here. Id like to point out how well the electronic candy inside functions and gives the driver all sorts of data and feedback about the car as well as other things!

So how is the durability on these things now? Can it be driven as a daily driver and last?

I like the GTR, but I keep reading about how the 911 turbo better beware and the GTR has cracked 0-60 in 2.99s. Its like people are ignoring the fact that Porsche is always conservative about their acceleration specs that they publish. 911 Turbo and Turbo S models have gotten ti 60 in 2.8 and 2.6s respectively. GTR used the 911 Turbo to develop and benchmark and beat...problem was...they used the last one. ;-)

Agreed. Nissan has never showed anything but respect for Porsche. If not, they would not use the 911 as a benchmark. I absolutely respect this car for trying to reach for such a high benchmark and if success is measured by how close you reach your benchmark, this car would be a success.
But at the end of the day, this is an amazing machine, I dont want to take anything away from it. It is the anti-german "car fans" who thinks this is the kill-all, world beater, and make it more than it is, but it is not.

I've always really like the GT-R. Any car maker can make a fast car, but Nissan made a savagely fast car with great fuel consumption, epic handling, and amazing value to top it all off.
I have to admit that I'd probably go for a European exotic even if it wasn't quite as fast because that's what I've always dreamed of, but I LOVE that this car exists. The car wold is better off because this thing exists.
