Should The Ferrari FF Be Renamed The Ferrari WTF?

Should The Ferrari FF Be Renamed The Ferrari WTF?
Ferrari's latest -- dare I say greatest? -- creation is the FF or F151 as some pictures have shown. With a front-mounted 6.3-liter V12 powerplant producing more than 650 horsepower, the car definitely sounds like a Maranello-born beast. However, what is up with that design?

Before the 458 Italia's introduction, I think it was universal knowledge that Ferrari's designs of recent memory just weren't sexy. They seemed to lack that panache, so they said. People critiqued the 599 as being peculiarly proportioned and the 612 as bland. Some even derided the F430 for not being sensual and too hard edged.

Then 458 made its appearance and the motoring world rejoiced, but it seems like that may have only been for a short while because in this writer's opinion, the FF/F151 isn't the most lustful car he's set eyes on.

This leaves me hanging because this car is only telling me two things:

1) This car symbolizes the return of "the breadvan"

2) This is Ferrari's interpretation of the Porsche Panamera
. That's not necessarily a bad thing since the Panamera is lighting up the sales charts.

Meet the shock new Ferrari FF, a replacement for the 612 Scaglietti.

As well as being the first four-wheel-drive Ferrari, it’s described as the company’s most versatile four-seater ever, and has unexpectedly been unveiled with best in class cabin space and boot capacity figures. It’s not a hardcore supercar to sit above the Ferrari 458 Italia, then; it does, though, come with a typically potent power source under that long front bonnet...

I am pretty sure most if not all of us on autospies love Ferrari and other fast sports car but a Ferrari hatch back (at least that what it look like to me) is going to hard to the die hard Ferrari fans. If I have the money and was in the market for a Ferrari, I would get either a F430 or the 599 GTO not some lame butt hatch.

Even if this car (some how) is a success, I still don't like it and think it will heard Ferrari image. But that is just my two cents.

WTF.....is the perfect name for this car....I dont know what the "FLUCK" ferrari engineers were smoking when they bought this to the table but what ever it was... it was surely potent. I dont like this look for ferrari they need to go back to the drawing board on this and make the ferrari 4 seater at least look like a ferrari. This looks like trash. I can honestly say that "WHEN" or "IF" Lamborghini makes the Estoque.....the 4 seater exotic super sports car industry will be "SHUTDOWN" because thats "THE" hottest 4 seater super sports car i seen if it comes out looking similar to the concept.....which im sure it will

Other than the title and article that clearly came from a 15 year olds blog; the car is a departure from the traditional Ferrari shape but they reinvent their models with each new generation. The car it looks unique and attractive, to me like one of those classic luxury GTs from decades ago.

[yawn]

Give some examples of a classic luxury gt that had a unique/attractive look akin to this?

I hate the looks of the Panamera, so anything that can kick its butt while looking less fugly is a welcome change! Oh, and the Panamera is selling like crazy, so this Ferrari should have no problems.

It sure is shockingly different from anything we've seen from Ferrari, but I personally find it somehow attractive, like some long bonnet cars from the past e.g. 1960 Jaguar XK 150 S Fixed Head Coupe. And I think It will sell.
