001 Snaps FIRST Real-Life Pictures Of The 2012 Ford Focus

001 Snaps FIRST Real-Life Pictures Of The 2012 Ford Focus
For those of you that thought the 2011 Ford Fiesta was a bit too small, Ford has decided to bring you its big brother, the 2012 Ford Focus. Sporting some bold paintwork and -- from what I can see through our photo gallery -- a seemingly nice interior, the Focus is going to square up with the Volkswagen Golf and Mazda 3. One trim that seems to stand out is the Titanium package, which looks like it has unique elements to it.

And as we have seen in the slew of new products from Ford, more premium features appear to be making their way down the Ford food chain. Take, for example, MyFord Touch and the SYNC system.

Although we're held to a strict embargo, which prevents us from discussing the Focus' details until January 31, we sure as hell can take as many pictures as we want. That means as Agent 001 was working his way through Los Angeles on the Pacific Coast Highway and Mulholland Drive, he managed to snap the BEST and most EXTENSIVE photographs of the all-new 2012 Ford Focus.

You may have seen the 2012 Focus here and there at the auto shows but here are the first shots of it on the road and detailed by 001, top to bottom.

Nice exterior, weird interior

Regardless of how much air it needs, aesthetically it looks nice with the huge grille

aha I wonder how well the front bumper will fare from a tiny, accidental bump.

I like big grills and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a car drives up with an itty-bitty wastegate
And a round thing in its fascia
You get vorsprung

stunningly good looking exterior for its class, two-tone interior could be pretty nice if they execute it well

I like the stitching on the seats and the overall improvement in interior design, but the fuel door on the right rear fascia looks like it was the last item designed into the car.

On a side note: that press event must have taken place VERY early in the morning for you to take a picture standing in the middle of Sunset Blvd and not be instantly hit by at least two cars.

At first glance you would almost thing the silver sedan was an SVT model with those wheels. Wheels are very reminiscent of the Focus SVT hatch from years ago. A Titanium edition, curious to see what that price point is, being the Flex Titanium pushes $50k which is loads over a base model I would guestimate that a Ford Focus Titanium could push close to 30k.

I'd say this is the new class leader. Very curious to see how it stacks up against the Elantra, Cruze and upcoming Civic. Well done Ford.

Some of the European publications have given it a mixed review in it's driving characteristics.Auto car states that it's steering lost some of it's road feel in creating a world car for many markets.Looks good though.I would take it over a Cruz.

This happens when you need to build an economy world car available in both Right & Left-hand drive set-ups.

The hatchback version is stunning and looks far more expensive than its' price. I can't wait to see how the new Focus compares to its immediate competition.

The Cruze, Focus, Elantra (and hopefully the new Civic) show that automakers are now putting their best efforts into smaller, practical vehicles. It's about time.
