Review: Acura RDX

While Acura compares the RDX to the X3, which is several thousand dollars higher in sticker, the RDX’s powertrain, suspension and the segment in which it sits more closely mimics the CX-7, which is several thousand dollars less, depending on configuration. The Mazda has a 2.3-liter turbo four that makes 244 hp and also comes with sporty pretensions.

+1 Boost

These smaller SUV's were supposed to give better fuel economy. But the RDX and Mazda CX-7 (what's with these names?) only get 18 city. Which is more like 15. And they take premium gas, of course. In that way, these scaled-down "sports car" 'utes don't make a whole lot of sense.
