STUD or DUD: Is The 2012 Pagani Huayra The Most UNIQUE Supercar?

You have to give it to Horacio Pagani. When the man puts his name on something, he truly makes it his own. Design is an entirely subjective manner. I may like it, you may hate it; however, at the end of the day, I am pretty confident we can all agree on something...

No one has produced anything quite like this before.

Both long and wide, the Zonda replacement -- the Huayra -- is going to be one seriously aggressive-looking machine. In this writer's eyes, the Zonda always seemed a little kit-car-ish and as if some pieces were afterthoughts. This time around though, it looks like everything was CAREFULLY thought out.

Equipped with a 6.0-liter AMG-built bi-turbo V12, we're talking about more than 700 horsepower and more than 740 pound-feet of torque. Keep in mind this all will be in a package weighing less than 3,000 pounds. Top speed is said to be near the 230 mph mark.

I'm in awe. The car looks beautiful. Pagani has great taste for those with great bank accounts. Makes my former R8 and my current Porsche turbo feel so little.

The sound and road presence must be epic.

I really like this but than again I also loved the Zonda, I just dont see how this is worth 2-3 times what the Zonda cost. Otherwise I love the way it looks inside and out very futuristic and unique like the zonda

Front end looks like inspired by an anaconda face. Very unique looking Supercar and performance numbers are great too. But name Zonda sunds much better than Huayra.

Joe what's going on? And congratulation to you and your achievement. That being said, awkward Joe? I see your point, but I'm not getting it.I raise you by two words. The words I feel that are appropriate to use in this case isn't awkward but rather engagingly unique, which may present an awkwardness when around other super cars.

Oh, yeah I see a lot the original autospies bloggers on this page, i.e. the old school cats,. So, big ups to you to guys as well.

I don't know about being unique. It is nicely refreshed, as beautiful as the old model, but not unique.

I'm not certain you know what unique means. This car is nothing if not unique!
I think it looks more purposeful and exotic than any Ferrari and even than the Lamborghinis. I'm not certain if I could call it beautiful, but I like the looks--a lot!
