Has Noble Produced A MORE Hardcore Bugatti Veyron Fighter?

Has Noble Produced A MORE Hardcore Bugatti Veyron Fighter?
It weighs less than 2,650 pounds, has 650 horsepower and just over 600 pound-feet of torque. It's made in Britain and boasts a higher power/weight ratio than the oh-so-mighty Bugatti Veyron. It's not something from a well established brand. It's a Noble.

A rather interesting note about the new M600 is that although prices have not been announced, there are 52 deposits for this beast. Even better news, due to demand for the car in other markets, a left-hand-drive version will be produced.

Something tells me that there is no way that this Noble will cost nearly the same as a Bugatti, but unless you're planning to hit the Veyron's top speed, you may have just be looking at a cheaper and more hardcore version of a car that's just as capable.

Noble has released official pictures of the production-ready M600.

The British-made supercar boasts a full carbon body, with a mid-mounted 4.4-litre V8 engine powering the rear wheels. It boasts outputs of 650bhp and 604lb ft, and coupled with a sub-1200kg kerb weight, it possesses a 550bhp/ton power-to-weight ratio. That’s significantly higher than the Bugatti Veyron’s 521bhp/ton, and enough to give the Noble a 0-60mph time of less than 3.0sec and a top speed of 225mph. Yet more staggering is an 8.9sec 0-120mph sprint, achieved by Noble’s heavier pre-production car...

I think most people missed the point of they Veyron. Its a Ultra Luxury car capable of mind-blowing performance numbers, not a Mind-blowing Performance machine that is Luxurious.

Bugatti is a coach builder, and its figures are meant to awe people. The fact that companies whose primary business is Performance is struggling to keep up is just purely amazing!

@ThierryHenry

I disagree, I think most enthusiasts understand that the Veyron's intent was to be the BEST car, period.

Same thing with the road-going version of the McLaren F1.

Both were intended to be well-rounded offerings, which they are in their own special way.

@Agent00R

Your statement actually validates ThierryHenry14's statement in which you guys have both the same perspective but different side on the coins. The fact is that they made the "Noble" was to beat the Veyron. And saying that concludes me to say they would not even beat the Veyron according to your argument that it doesn't offer the entirety of the driving experience offered by the Veyron. You state these cars are trying to be the best and the "it car." Well, the Noble falls short in that department. Its like when they took the back seats out of the Boss Mustang to beat the speed of the M3 which has back seats and still handles better. Of course you are going to win speed wise, but its like you are kinda cheating not having all the qualification that are considered in that particular lead.

... but likely a better driver's car.

big deal, a 130hp Caterham is a better driver's car and i highly doubt that the Bugatti engineers had in mind to build one. I also doubt that the guys at Noble would call the M600 a veyron figther.

the headline is another chapter of autospies stupidity @ it's best

Power to weight ratio doesn't mean anything at high speed. Bugatti has all that power to do one thing, be the fastest production car ever. That title isn't going away any time soon.

Not to be a jerk, but Bugatti had to make the Supersports to regain the crown for worlds fastest production car. So I wouldn't be so sure about that whole not getting beaten for a while thing. Just saying.

The Lexus LF-A blows them both away.
