Volvo planning to reduce the number of models it offers in the U.S.
According to the latest reports, it appears that Volvo will slash the number of models it offers in the U.S. and will focus on its best-selling vehicles in order to improve its declining sales. Doug Speck, head of Volvo's operations in the U.S said that the Swedish manufacturer will have five or six models in its U.S. lineup. Apparently, the manufacturer wants to focus on the key segments with significant volume potential.

My prediction. The following models will dissapear from the US.
V50,S40,C30,S70. Perhaps Volvo will then replace the C30 with a 4dr Crossover that will sit below the XC60. Most likely be called XC30.
Volvo will therefore only sell the S80,S60,XC30,XC60,XC90. Look for the
cheapest model XC30 to start in the low 30's.

Woops-Volvo just dropped the price of the S60 T5 to the 31,000 range. I then predict the XC30 crossover to start in the mid to high 20's.It will replace 3 models-S40,V50,and C30.
