Volvo wants to become one of the leading luxury brands in China by 2015
Volvo recently said that to become one of the leading luxury brands in China by 2015, the company will establish its China headquarters and a technology center in Shanghai. Freeman Shen, Volvo’s China head said on the sidelines of the January 2011 auto show that Volvo expects China to become its biggest market as early as 2012 and its "second home market" after Sweden. In 2010, Volvo's sales in Sweden were roughly double the sales in China, at almost 60,000 units.
