SHOWDOWN: 2011 BMW M3 vs. 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

SHOWDOWN: 2011 BMW M3 vs. 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG
Here we go again! Mercedes-Benz has done some upgrades to the 2012 C-Class and of course one of the Agent's personal favorites has received a new look too. The C63 AMG has gotten its refresh and some pictures have "leaked" onto the 'net.

Supposedly they were posted on the media site then taken down. Otherwise, we'd have an extensive photo gallery for you by now.

Anyway, the C63 will still be equipped with its 6.2-liter V8 powerplant with 451 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Besides the cosmetic modifications, the updated C63 will also see the addition of a seven-speed MCT transmission and a start/stop feature -- no word if we'll see start/stop tech in the States.

Now that the AMG has been given a fresh overhaul, do you believe it has a leg up on the current M3 sedan? We're not talking performance, **Strictly** looks.

Let us know in the comments below...

Intentionally or not, photos of the C63 AMG Facelift have leaked onto the internet. Any updates and releases to BMW's competitors invariably leads us to want to compare of course - in this case the E90 M3 LCI vs facelifted C63 AMG...

Neither... Cadillac CTS-V (that way there's a choice of coupe, sedan, or wagon).

The C63 AMG...duh! It looks so agressive! But the real challenge will be the C63 AMG COUPE VS the M3 COUPE...I wouldn't want to miss that out! Same engine...? I was hoping for a smaller version of the 5.5 l Biturbo V8 in the CL/S/CLS 63 AMG. Well, it will still beat them all!

Don't think there will be a C63 coupe because the coupe is the E-Class? Or have they changed their minds?

We already know who will get smoked. I don't even know why we bother with this comparison. Or maybe I can be wrong this time, who knows.

1. M3: more tasteful. understated. gorgeous character lines.

2. C63: a bit boring frankly. tacky wheels. grill too flashy.

it's precisely the opposite. the mercedes is much flashier.

M3 for tracks as always.....C63 for the road. M3 for turning fights, C63 for expirienced drivers that knows how control a drifting monster torque car, M3 for driving oriented guys, C63 for high speed cruisers.....You can't go wrong with any of those...

Never mind the arguments. If I want one of the best sounding V8's in the world I will take a C63. If I want one of the best handling cars in it's class i'll take an M3. I'll take both of them and enjoy both cars cruel intentions.
