2012 Fiat 500 will appeal to your brain and heart! Are you ready?
You may already now that one of the smallest cars on the market, the 2012 Fiat 500 has recently been introduced in North America. Many of you folks may already wonder, what kind of people would buy a car like this, right? Honestly to tell you, I consider it small and sexy, but some of you may not like it. According to Laura Soave, head of Fiat brand in North America, the “Fiat 500 appeals to the two opposite poles that drive automotive purchase decisions: the brain and the heart”. Soave considers the car as a balance of great style and design at a great price, and we must agree, as the small vehicle is indeed beautiful.

I cannot find anything appealing about this car. Nothing.

If it was going to appeal to my brain and heart, why do I need someone to explain this to me?

As a former owner of a Fiat 600, while stationed in Italy, I will wait for the new version Fiat 124 Sport Coupe. I had one of those on my second tour and loved the car. Make mine Red again, please.

Yet another post on Autospies about this car. Enough of the manufactured hype. If I wanted a small, retro-themed car I'd buy a Mini. It's far better proportioned, and of better quality than this hideous little Fiat. Unless the name is, in fact, the msrp, this Fiat 500 will be a flop.

Cuteness over substances. Last issue of UK CAR magazine pans car...no communication thru steering, handling suspect, controls misplaced, etc etc. and that was the ABARTH performance model.

If you actually read up on the history, you will know that Abarth is an eccentric tuning company.

The US version has a different rear suspension and retuned steering. As for quality and reliability the Fiat is probably not quite as good on the former but at least as good as the latter. Look a base Mini is not somthing I would be all that interested either. It's not any quicker then the 500 and is 4 grand more expensive. The Fiat has slightly better rear leg room in spite of it being shorter in length.I'd certainly take it over a Toyota Yaris(or any Toyota product right now)or even a Mazda 2 if room and luggage space were not that important to me.The point is it's a retro car like the Mini is like it or not. It should sell well.
