VIDEO: See How Much Faster A 2012 Nissan GT-R Is Vs. A 2011 GT-R Off The Line
A lot of the time when a manufacturer does a refresh of a vehicle, they don't exactly make the best improvements or it is merely cosmetic. If you received that impression about the 2012 Nissan GT-R, I think the videos below may dismiss those thoughts.

With an additional 45 horsepower and the renaissance of Launch Control in the 2012 GT-R, the car is more thrilling than ever. And it even has LEDs! Sorry, I couldn't contain my sarcastic enthusiasm about the LED craze.

Regardless, the 2012 GT-R is said to do zero to 60 in less than three seconds and is ready to spank the pants off of any competitor at a red light.

**Check out the 2012 vs 2011 Nissan GT-R battle down below

...the launch control is back on the 2012 GT-R’s equipment list in a revised form that allows customers to use it four times in a row, before shutting off in order to protect the transmission. Just like the original, the new system (LC4) launches from 4,000 rpm, but it’s better at minimizing wheel spin, making the latest and more powerful (+45HP) iteration of the Japanese sports car a lot faster compared to the 2010MY GT-R in a straight line race...

Haha, imagine a GT-R "Balboni"

Lightweight & RWD, that'd be an unbelievable package.

It doesn't need to be RWD, some people, like myself want a supercar than can be driven year round.

I like the GT-R.
but...
"...with 0-60 times below 3 seconds its ready to beat any competitor off the line..."
Is it me or does the auto media want to ignore the fact that 911 Turbo and Turbo S are well under 3 seconds to 60?

I belief that number is with one 1 feet roll out. And the Nissan GT-R is much cheaper as well. And please.... Do NOT give me this B.S. that the GT-R is just a Nissan. FYI, in it early day the Nissan GT-R was the first super sports car to finish the Nurburgring (spelling ) track in under 8 minutes and set the standard for super cars.

How much super sports car come straight of the factory that does 0-60 in under 3s and handle like the Nissan GT-R with a price that is below $100k?

OK there Lexus, I feel you - the car is amazing and I like it a lot. It is in NO WAY CHEAP however.
A new one will cross 100K everything on the road by the time you bring it home ... I for one want a legit drag race between this and the Turbo S (another favorite!)...Both have gone below 3 flat and are in the high 2s...Veyron Class!
