SPIED: BMW's Upcoming 3-Series' Heavy Cladding Comes Off

SPIED: BMW's Upcoming 3-Series' Heavy Cladding Comes Off
Up until this point, the next-generation BMW 3-Series spy images have shown a HEAVILY cladded vehicle that didn't reveal much besides a wide stance.

Now that the cladding has been taken off we see a much more svelte 3-Series with proportions that we're more accustomed to. Take, for example, the short front and rear overhangs.

New to the car, from what we can see, is the modified front kidney grill -- although somewhat obscured, it's there --, LED corona ring headlights, LED taillights and what could possibly be the new production rear bumper with integrated reflectors.

Are you diggin' where BMW is taking the 3-Series so far?

We bring you the most revealing photos yet of the upcoming 2012 3-series (F30)! Until now, the F30 has been fully cladded with little showing other than its general lines, shape, stance, and proportions.

The strip tease has now commenced with part of the headlights now visible - showing beautiful LED angel eyes and a wrap around sweeping headlight design. The tail lights have now also been partially unveiled, showing a wrap around design featuring upsweeping light bars, LED indicators, and regular brake lights...

It will probably look like a smaller version of the 5 which looks like a smaller version of the 7....it will drive great, but not as good as the current gen, just like the 5, as it gets more "driver assistance" aids...of course Im hoping none of this happens and they give the 3 it's own personality...

it definitely looks like it will be a smaller version of the 5, but i dont bash on car makers for doing that. BMW, Mercedes, Audi....they all do it and helps to promote a family resemblence. I think even Infiniti is starting to do the same thing--designing the big-brother M to look similar to the G.
