Is The Infiniti G25 Just As Nice As The G37 But At A Lower Price?

Is The Infiniti G25 Just As Nice As The G37 But At A Lower Price?
Infiniti finished 2010 with a flurry of sales, upping its December results 37% from a year ago -- three times as much as the industry's overall 11% climb.

That capped an impressive year in which Nissan's upscale brand moved 103,411 cars and trucks, a 28% increase. One German luxury car manufacturer reports that while it has been stealing customers from its other European competitors, it has been losing some buyers to Infiniti.

Just because the G25 has a less powerful engine than the G37 doesn't mean it's any less nice. Some people just don't care about performance and it's not like the G25 is slow.

Not sure why people are saying this is the best value in the "entry" luxury market as its not. While everyone doesnt care about performance Im not sure how many people will see value with saving what $2600 for alot less horsepower, and performance. Thats less than some equipment packages why would anyone looking at "value" not simply but the G37 what other luxury car can you get the upgraded engine for only a $2600 difference in my opininon that makes a strong value statement for the G37 and proves the G25 is pretty useless. If Infiniti and Nissan werent priced so closely they could have offered it at a lower price but that would across run over the pricing of the Maxima, and Altima... Its not as if they are 5 - 8,000+ difference like with other cars in its segment that offer a lower and higher performance model.

The reason I state that was because for $31,400 you get a pretty well equipped sedan. The only other true luxury name plate that is less is the TSX (Euro Accord) 4 cyl fwd. The two Nissan you mention are well Nissan and FWD (an abomination in a luxury car). I stick by my opinion.

Neither Acura or Infiniti are true luxury nameplates and certainly not for the price of a family sedan...

For 1 MPG city and 2 MPG highway, there is NO WAY I would buy the G25. The 37 has such a sweet motor, what you give up on performance is not worth the marginal gas mileage gains.

And this is from someone who wants the best possible mileage I can get in my next car.

It is just as nice, but with a less horsepower. Not all people care about horsepower, so this is perfect to compete and steal sales from the BMW 325.
