Follow him around with a camera, I want to see his face drop when he pulls up next to a Lambo or Ferrari, and they look over and laugh at him.

i went to look at the LFA with a friend who has not one--but 3--ferraris (in addition to nearly a dozen other cars). he one look, laughed and called it a piece of crap. his words, not mine.

That's too bad enthusiastx 11, both you and your friend will never get to own something as rare as this. Both you and your "friend" would have never gone to see the LFA if you badge-whores weren't so threatened by it. Let me ask you something, were you guys at least holding hands when you guys went to go check out the LFA? Was he wearing the red or the black polo Ferrari shirt?

he was invited to see it because he's a known car collector. we spent about 30 minutes checking out the car with a few other people. it is what it is....don't really care what you believe.

it's also rather sad how you resort to homophobic slurs and personal attacks. very much a sign of a losing argument. and childish to boot.

enthusiastx11 your friend is jealous, PERIOD. What little taste he has went out the door a long time ago and I am sure he not a very liked person today, a little bit like you here on this site. I don't know who you and tattedtwice are but you guys exude hatred to a whole new level. A mature person would not go out of their way to be a bitch!

That's how Toyota/Lexus Fans Roll. Talk bad about Toyota/Lexus and they attack, insult, and fight. Talk about insecure? LOL!

They act like a bunch of teenagers. I'm not surprised though. Anyone who is stupid enough to love Lexus can't be all there mentally.

I doubt anyone who buys this machine will give a crap about what some Lambo or Ferrari owner thinks of his car. This car is more of a statement than either of those Italians. What type of statement is up to interpretation - but credit should be given to this awesome machine.

The Lexus LFA goes to show what potential Lexus has, now they just have to work this magic on there whole lineup while still keeping the "Lexus" image and their sales will sky rocket sooner or later.

How about using some of this magic and win one friggin F1 race? Oh wait, Toyota pulled out of F1 after 8 seasons and millions of dollars spent and came out with empty hands.

Has anyone heard of the Gotham Dream car tour out of Ft Lauderdale, FL?
Well, I was a part of one. I was allowed to drive the Ferrari F430 and 360 Modena along with a Murcielago. The Ferrari was a blast to drive but, the interior was horrible..it felt cheap and a lot of things were flimsy. It's nothing compared to the LFA's interior and I've seen the LFA in person at an auto show. The LFA is, like Driver8 said, a statement.

LFA is just wow and love the sound it makes. Seems like a very usable supercar with never seen before amounts of technology, luxury and comfort.
It has all Lexus qualities, beaten a tuned flagship Ferrari(599 HGTE) in more than one comparison test and is very exclusive. Can't wait to experience an LFA inside and out in a Lexus showroom soon.

Technology like, an optional nav display that costs tens of thousands of dollars, or a carbon fiber chassis that helps get this tiny car to weigh as much as a Chevy Colorado lmao.

Lexus did an Awesome job on this Lexus LF-A considering it their first attempt to try to enter the exotic car showdown and beaten the Ferrari 599 HGTE like JUGNu stated.

If I have money I would love to own one in white like the one on this post. It different, It's will definitely be a head turner for sure. In Orange County you see a lot Lambo, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Maserati, Bentley and Roll Royce but this Lexus LF-A is going to be a very rare.

And I love the exhaust note, it sound like a F1 car when you hit the metal to the pedal. Congratulation Lexus and now bring all of this technology to the next generation IS250/350, GS350/450 and LS460/LS 600 hl model.

Joe-Lemon, that was about the dumbest thing I have ever read here and believe me you have steep competition. Another jealous person who's brain can’t process what they see.

And yeah to have the Nav package and ML sound is a 5K upgrade "just like any other Lexus" not tens of thousands of dollars~ On the LFA I would imagine that it is standard equipment.

Oh? Then tell me why that carbon tub coupled to a sub 5.0 liter engine weighs more then a "barbaric" 7.0 liter vette?

just a guess, but it might have to do with those additional 2 cylinders.

i thought someone with your expertise (cough, cough) should be able to figure that out.

100octane regardless of having 2 fewer cylinders, the cylinders that do exist in the vette are 1.8 times larger! The vette engine is simply a larger engine period.

- Can you provide a link? And what exactly did the LF-A beat the 599 in? I keep hearing that it "beat it" but never any specifics. I'd beat that the Ferrari beat the LF-A in every performance measure, but they gave the victory to the LF-A anyway because the LF-A sounds nicer.

This is a great car but I just think it looks a little bland to me and will not age well. In my opinion the best looking cars come out of Italy and England (since the 70's). It is hard to argue the mechanics but the looks are subjective. If I wanted powerful Japanese car with a lot of high tech stuff I would buy a Nissan GTR. If I wanted a beautiful exotic I would by an Alfa 8c or another European car. With that said, I am sure they will have no problem selling these cars but I don't see them becoming any sort of collector car.

LF-A is just the latest example on how Lexus is able to trick people into believing that a fake is better than the original. There are so many other (cheaper cars that are better than the LF-A that it isn’t even funny) And besides the LF-A looks like a car from the early 2000’s all dated and stuff.

Give me a 458 italia or that new Mclaren anyday over the LF-A. I’d even take a MB SLS over the LF-A. The MB SLS out performs the LF-A BTW (and so do plenty of other cheaper cars with a better pedigree).

The only folks that are putting the LF-A on a pedestal are Lexus Fanboys who don’t know any better. People who actually purchase Exotic cars are laughing at the LF-A. Not because it isn't a good car, it is a good car. But because you can get a better-performing, true exotic for substantially less.

Never have I seen a car that isn’t the best get perceived as the best. Toyota has you guys brain washed.

what is up with the Lexus and Ferrari bashing?? I'm a huge fan of Ferrari, no, I love Ferrari but I'm first and foremost a car enthusiasts. I can't help but appreciate a well built performance machine when I see one and Lexus definitely nailed it on their first attempt at creating a supercar. To be honest I didn't think it was going to be so hot cause the IS-F wasn't what everyone expected it to be, so there was even more skepticism when they I heard its competing against the likes of Ferrari and Lambo. The ones that say people who own this is going to be laughed at when a Ferrari pulls up either needs to grow up or quit being so narrow minded; you call yourself an auto enthusiasts?

I would take 458 over this, but that's just personal choice. I can't deny a good car when I see one. The performance figures speak for themselves, it looks stunning, and the sound it makes..come on, what car lover wouldn't smile from just hearing it..A good car is a good car and I have to, for the first time, give credit to Lexus for coming out with something as spectacular as the LFA.

I try to understand why people hate this car and the only thing I can think of is because they're insecure or that the car represents something different from what they're used to.

LexSucksLexSucks - 2/7/2011 5:01:47 PM

We hate is because it’s an over-priced car, with zero pedigree, that doesn't outperform the cars with pedigree. All while costing 1/3 more $$$ than the established players. I also don't like the styling (looks dated). There are at least a dozen cars that I would choose over the rolling commercial known as the LF-A. If you like it? Fine. Just don’t expect everyone else to share your enthusiasm.

Just because a person doesn’t like something that you like, doesn’t mean that they are "insecure" or aren’t ready for it yet. That’s some serious selfish thinking. There are several legitimate reasons not to like the LF-A. I just only named a few.

I can understand why someone would not like it, but hate is a pretty strong emotion, and that's what a lot of the whiners are doing here.

"over-priced car" - This car is really not about the pricing. If Toyota really wanted to make money from the sales of this car it would cost much more, or they would produce a whole lot more of them.

"With zero pedigree" - i.e. no snob appeal. Again, this is not what this car is about.

"That doesn't outperform the cars with pedigree" - Did Toyota ever claim it to outperform all others? Do we knock the Audi R8 because is does not perform the others?

"All while costing 1/3 more $$$ than the established players" - again not what this car is about.

"I also don't like the styling (looks dated)" - So does a Porsche 911, but I still like that car.

"Just don’t expect everyone else to share your enthusiasm" - I have never outwardly praised this car, nor am I really enthusiastic about it. I have not driven nor seen one. But, I do not hate it and trash is at every chance I get.

I do not care about badge. I love Cars and thats final. My favorites Are MB. But does not blind me to see that most of times Bimmer does better on tracks or Lexus are more reliable and quiet than Mercs. But I saw the LFA and after that Expirience I will say this the car Is too expensive but the Quanty and exclusivity , justify the price In same was as an SLR cost 450K. It is better car than the Ferrari and I do not like to say that but the way that it is build reflects the the pursuit of the perfection of the Japanese people as no body does.

I think people that overtly criticize the LFA don't really understand cars, or tend to give too much attention to branding, look where Hyundai was 10 years ago, look at them today. People who I've met with a true passion for cars can just sit in a car and just '' know '' what they're dealing with without having to check what manufacturer is stamped on the hood. I got to see the LFA, like many of you I got to hear it through countless videos and read what people wrote about it.

The concensus is that it's an exotic, a thing of beauty to behold.

It's not perfect, no car is ...

But like the Egyptians, Toyota/Lexus had to build it's pyramid, something unique, something exclusive, something that would make people think about it and go WOW.

And they sure the hell built it

This car is awesome, hands down. Boss just got one yesterday and I got a chance to check it out. Whoever says this car is "dated" is an absolute retard. As for pedigree why cant a reliable auto manufacturer with billions in the black take a stab at the exotic market? You scared they will succeed??
