Rumor: 2012 Vw Beetle to make its debut at the 2011 New York Auto Show

At this year’s SuperBowl, Volkswagen offered us a funny and interesting advertising of the all-new Beetle. Although we can see just the profile of the car by the end of the video, we must say that the little black bug made us laugh a little. What is more interesting regarding the new car, is that it is possible to see it at the 2011 New York Auto Show in April, at least according to our Volkswagen source.

The whole Beetle thing is all about nostalgia, recapturing the instant recognition of the old VW bug. Well, they did that pretty well with today's Beetle. But by definition, to be true to the Bettle, they should not stray very far from the icon. So what can be "totally new" about it? Stay true to the icon, and don't change much, or just use the name, call it a Beetle, and do whatever you want?

Its as good looking car. It has lots of "356" overtones in the styling.This new car "does" mimick the original more closely. It should sell well.
