Bmw entry-level sports car concept coming to the 2011 Geneva Motor Show

According to the latest media reports, it appears that Bmw is preparing a small open-top sports car concept for this year’s Geneva Motor Show. This means that all the rumors regarding a smaller and cheaper version of the Z4, dubbed Z2, will become reality. The new car will be a perfect rival to the entry-level sports car from Porsche and the new Volkswagen small roadster previewed by the BlueSport Concept. The new Bmw car was confirmed at the launch of the 2012 Bmw 6-Series Convertible, but the source declined to give any details.

I"m all for it. The Z4 got way too heavy recently. I miss the spirit of the original Z3.
