RENDERED SPECULATION: Would A Jaguar XJ Coupe Be A Contender?

RENDERED SPECULATION: Would A Jaguar XJ Coupe Be A Contender?
Fresh out of the rumormill oven is word that Jaguar is working on an XJ Coupe. If that's true, I guess that would mean the XK's days are numbered? Unless this would be a larger-bodied vehicle that would be a true four-passenger vehicle, unlike the two plus none XK.

Can you say Bentley Continental GT, BMW 6-Series and Mercedes-Benz CL-Class competitor, anyone?

With that said, some find the XJ's look to be relatively polarizing. Considering that Bentley, BMW and Mercedes-Benz has revamped their models, would an XJ be able to throw down against the big three coupes?

Jaguar seems to be pretty busy lately.

Not only are they planning a small RWD sedan and coupe to compete with the 3 series.
But they are also working on a coupe version of the new XJ Sedan...

I do not think so , It is good to face the 6 series or E series coupe or A5 coupe. Depends of the size, But I think I can compete with the CL or Bentley coupe.

I think Jaguar needs a small sedan (3, C, G) competitor first before they start talking about big coupes.

sportbike80-I hope your not serious. You are actually comparing a Hyundai fwd platform with a 4 cylinder engine against a rwd platform with an 8 cylinder engine. True the designs for Hyundai are agressive but frankly too swoopy for my taste. I predict they will get old very quickly. Jaguar design language is quite different with much taughter services and will probably age much better over time. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I personally like the current Kia designs much better then Hyundai's.
