WHICH and WHY? What Flavor Of High-Speed Travel Would You Take Home?
Now although there are many ways to go fast, we're a little intrigued WHICH you would pick and WHY. That's because we want to know what kind of taste YOU have.
For example, Auto Motor Und Sport holds its its annual high-speed testing at Nardo with a slew of performance machines. You've got a varied pack of autos, from luxury grand tourers to midsize sedans to expensive exotica.
Given you were to make a run down the autobahn or a jaunt from New York to Boston -- or London to Paris --, which dream piece of metal are you taking out?

Great! Click on "Read Article" and it's in all in German!
Luckily, I took German in high school, though it's quite rusty now...

@Willis
The question we're posing on here doesn't require you to read through Auto Motor Und Sport.
And if you want a rough idea of how the cars performed you can run it through a translator, not that it's too hard to figure out anyway...

The LF-A isn't on the list and gets outperformed by at least half the cars pictured. The LF-A also costs more than every car pictured, and has the weakest brand name when it comes to exotics. But hey... At least it sounds nice!
There's a reason why the LF-A isn't included. Head-to-head the LF-A isn't really that strong of a competitor. It gets beat by the established players.

I think I'd have to take the cliche approach and take a Veyron SS to the limit.
THAT would be killer...

Porsche Carrera GT. Why, because it's badass and why outside of my grasp.

The Lamborghini. The interior looks like you could fall asleep on just about every surface.

I wish they included the Aston Martin DBS, Audi R8 V10 and Lexus LF-A in this comparison. Man it going to be a tough choice I love all of this Super Sports Car so much, I would be happy with either one. But I have to choose one, I go with either the Audi R8 V10 or Lexus LF-A in Pearl White even thought it not on the list.

Ford GT -- mechanical expression of performance. 3 pedals only, no fuss no muss. One of very few modern vehicles that are classic and increasing in value (curses).

Ford GT is a Crude semi-poor mans exotic. I like the added refinement of the cars pictured. Cars like the Ford GT and Dodge Viper aren't refined enough IMO.

All six...one for each day of the week plus a '34 Ford Hot Rod for Sunday to remember when nothing (read computers)came between a man and his machine.

Lexus LF-A. Period.
I'd even take an Lexus LF-A over a G6 Jet.

Why not Include the ZR1,Viper and Ford GT.These cars will kick most of the Foreign exotics butts for a lot less money all day long.

Yeah, considering they have the biggest engines they should, though they do have lowest specific output (horsepower per liter) If performance is all you care about they will work but they are crude and cheaply built. Compare the interior of a Vette to a Porsche and its easy to see why it cost less. I can get leather in a Cobalt SS, and it performs very well, however a 3 series is a much better place to be whether it is faster or not.

Visiting exotic destinations through cheap flights for holidays and then renting a ferrari or an audi would definitely be a good idea.
