Review: Cars-One hour and fifty-seven minutes of pure joy!

Every once in a while something really special comes along that gives you a glimpse of how amazing human potential is when we put our minds to it.

Just when you think the team at Pixar can't reach any higher, they push the bar up another ten notches.

I walked into Cars EXPECTING it to be just ok and I was blown away by how far animation capability has gone AND enjoyed an innocent, genuine, wonderful and heartwarming story.

In a day of over-hyped crap with deceptive storylines like the DaVinci code, it is refreshing that a company like Pixar can do the right thing and school the rest of the industry.

From an animation perspective, I highly urge the competitors at Dreamworks and others to take their computer mice and keyboards, throw them in the garbage and consider retiring.

Watch Cars closely and you'll see what I mean.

The texture mapping, special effects, and subliminal messages are fantastic!

But the most important thing is the story and theirs is one charming tale.

I have read reviews from people who were not impressed with Cars but after seeing it, I am totally convinced that they CAN'T have any love or passion for cars.

They're probably all driving cars like a five year old Pontiac Grand Am (Former rental).

If you haven't seen it, don't wait.

I know I will probably go see again.

If I only had three lines to describe the essence of Cars I would use some lines from another classic:

TRUTH
JUSTICE
AND THE AMERICAN WAY!

And make sure you stay through the credits...there are some great surprises there!

I beg to differ, if you have watched a CG movie called Final Fantasy which debted several years ago then this "cars" movie is pure crap. There are other industry standards where details and life-like animation exists and I don't think Cars is there yet. If they can animate people, human figures skin, eyes and hair in the way Final Fantasy (the movie) or game clips are like, then it will be truely amazing..but is not! Also if you would want to compare animation on cars etc, Have u seen the video clips or replays of any GT games? GT4 perhaps and its contemporaries?
