PHOTOS: 00R Gets Up Close And Personal With The Porsche GT2 RS
If you didn't already know, late last week I was in Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park going through the Porsche 911 experience. Essentially, this means Porsche put me through a brief driver's training program at its Porsche Sport Driving School.
This gave me the unprecedented chance to get a look at one of the marques most impressive pieces of machinery to date: the GT2 RS.
Weighing in at just over 3,000 pounds with a 3.6-liter bi-turbo producing 620 horsepower, this is the most extreme 911 ever produced. AND, its tires were specifically made for this vehicle.
So, when I saw it for the first time, it was only natural that I do what any Agent would. Snap as many high-quality photographs as possible.

Thank you for the pics, 00R, and for focusing on your job as a journalist first and a driver second! ;)

I don't know if that's a compliment or an insult, but I'll take what I can get.

Why do they keep the hood unpainted yet paint the rest of the car? I understand paint can weigh a lot, but only doing one body panel makes it look like the job was done in someones garage in 15 minutes or less.

There's something about that donut shape sidewall that the Michellins have. Catches my eye everytime :)

It's a compliment, 00R. I couldn't focus the camera from all the drool!

I saw this thing at the Sydney Austoshow and as much as I love 911's this did not do it for me. I think it is the bare carbon fibre all over the car, looks like alot of the Honda cars running around with Carbon Fibre hoods on them. I know they are sold out but if I was one of the lucky persons getting one I would for sure have Porsche paint the whole car the same color and give me traditional silver wheels. Just my opinion though. Cheers!!
