3 Vandals Arrested At Chicago Auto Show For Damaging Toyota Show Cars
Three men using screwdrivers and razor knives tore up the interiors of seven new Toyotas at the Chicago Auto Show, causing about $30,000 in damage, officials said.

The vandalism included dashboards smashed and ripped, seats sliced open, scratched windshields, speaker guards pried open and broken turn indicators, according to a police report. The vandalism was caught on video by security cameras, police said.

The men were arrested near the close of the show at about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday as they damaged a blue Toyota Camry, officials said. McCormick Place security held the three until police arrived, Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said, citing a police report.

Not just sad, but astoundingly stupid. Nowadays, anyone who doesn't behave as if there were a camera always recording their every move doesn't seem to understand that there probably always is a camera recording their every move--especially at an auto show.

Maybe the problem with Toyota all along was that America needed a recall

There are idiots everywhere, but I do have to say that there's a demographic here in the USA of people that seem to revel in being ignorant.

God bless those Vandal's hearts.

As far as I'm concerened they should only get a fine. I'm sure there are folks here who beleive that the Vandals should get the death-penalty for vandalizing cars that will never be sold, and end up getting crushed after the car show.

Do you always post nonsense stuff like these comments or are you just plain ignorant. Next time leave your car parked at an airport and maybe someone will run a screw driver down the side of your car. It doesn't matter what make it is, whether you like/dislike a certain brand, wouldn't be caught driving a certain brand ("LexSucks" by your userid), your messing with property that isn't yours. If I ever caught someone doing that to my BMW or Audi, I'd take you out behind the woodshed first, before I turn your a@@ over to the law.

besides the fact that car show cars get sold. They get spread among dealers at low prices as rewards for taking extra inventory.
