Bentley working on a new SUV, 5-door sedan and entry-level gran tourer
For Volkswagen to reach its goal of becoming the number one car company by 2018, each single brand has to be subjected to several modifications. Bentley is the next brand to produce new vehicles. A report from AutoExpress states that the Bentley badge will soon be seen on a 5-door coupe, an SUV and an entry-level grand tourer. It's like the old Mazda 6-series hatchbacks: looks like a sedan with a small trunk/boot, but it's a hatchback.

Think BMW GT series without the shortened rear deck and high truck line.

@ Stevez

Its the same attempt at marketing B S that got us the 4 Door Coupe.

This is not really all that shocking. There have been rumors, for at least five years, that Bentley was working on a SUV and a smaller, "entry" luxury vehicle.

The five door is unusual until you consider that Audi is working on one, BMW has one with plans for another, the Porsche Panamera & Aston Martin four door.

I can definitely see a Bentley SUV based on a modified second generation Q7 platform.

Probably going to be built on the A7 platform for the 5dr and the new Porsche Cayenne platform for the SUV but most likely the longer WB Audi Q7 version. Audi is now in control of all Bentley future product development, FYI.

Oh no a Bentley is going to be a VW too just like Porsche? PSHH, it doesn't deter me. No bandwagoning here. I like the products I will buy it and not care what the fanboys think lol.

I can't wait to see a Bentley Minivan or a Bentley milk delivery truck dropping off milk from very classy cows. The milk would have gold leaflets and the carton will come with a diamond pendant: perfect!

Agent 63 the Bentley already is a VW. It chassis is shared with the Phaeton and it engine is based on the VR engine from VW as is the W16 Bugatti engine.

5 door sedan. Imitating the New Jaguar XJ.
