TRUE or FALSE: Paris Hilton's Lexus LFA A Farce?
One of the more interesting pieces of news this week surrounded Paris Hilton receiving a Lexus LFA as a gift from her boyfriend. She's definitely not a newcomer to high-end vehicles as we've seen her piloting a Mercedes-Benz SLR and a Bentley Continental GT, which was HOT pink.

Regardless, this new LFA gifting seems a bit awkward and let me tell you why. There are a couple of things I noticed:

- The LFA she is pictured with in the UK's Daily Mail is actually a prototype LFA. It's not a production version. You can tell because it has the winglets above the rear taillights and it's also the same YELLOW car that's been seen in the new Lexus commercial as well as last year's auto show in Monterey.

- She's filming a "reality" show. Let's be real, most of these shows are scripted.


So, unless the vehicle was put on order and this was merely a "stand in" until the real-deal LFA gets here, I am going to remain skeptical.

And no, I am not drinking haterade...

She was said to get a white LFA, the yellow one is a pre-production prototype. But even the production cars have winglets over the tail lights. They don't have the screws holding them in like the prototypes. The yellow one was there probably to make a cameo in some stupid show she's making. I haven't seen her LFA, but she 'tweeted' that it was white.

Yes, Paris confirmed when she appeared on Wendy Williams that the yellow was a prank...sorta. Her LFA is in fact white.

Yes. Many of us knew that was a prototype. In fact, I was in that very car at the CEC private unveiling event a few weeks back.

It's obvious that Paris Hilton's actual car isn't ready yet, and so yes, this was a stand-in. In fact, Hilton joked about being disappointed that the car was yellow and later rejoiced that it wasn't the very car she was to own.

And it's also true that the winglets do come with the production car but as an option that many prefer not to have.

Just rebadge the LF-A as the new Supra, charge $100k for it and all will be well in the world. Because this thing barely beats the 2009 GT-R in the 1/4 mile and isn't faster than the GT-R to 60.
