VIDEO: Lexus LFA Launch Control Up To 160 MPH

Now I know we've covered the Lexus LFA extensively but there's good reason for it. It is a fantastic machine, no matter what you say. The stats back it up as does its look and shrilly V10 powerplant.

So, in regards to the haters, here's another bit on the LFA.

When I got my chance to drive the LFA I didn't have the opportunity to sample the vehicle's launch control, which seems to be standard with high-performance cars these days. But leave it to someone to get a crack at it, record the act and slap it up on YouTube.

Ah, I love technology.

With that said, take a look below at the LFA's hard launch down below.

Note: observe the LFA's brisk acceleration to over 160 mph as well as its shift times

Amazing.......! And I love the exhaust note at the end of the video. I hope Lexus bring all of this technology from the Lexus LF-A to the next generation Lexus IS250/350/IS-F, GS450 and GS-F.

The rear of that car is awful..Infiniti is the only Japanese car company that has heard of a using curves in the design of a supercar...this car is way too triangular

This was a 'botched launch'. In the LFA Manual, Launch Control says to HOLD the throttle at 4000rpm for 4 seconds, then release the brake. What the video shows is the driver revving to 4000rpm and immediately releasing the brake! Still, quite fast considering the Youtube uploader said 0-60mph (100kmh) in 4.4 seconds! Just imagine if he would have followed the directions!
