Assembly Mistake Forces Ford To Recall 144,000 F-150 Trucks For Faulty Air Bags

Assembly Mistake Forces Ford To Recall 144,000 F-150 Trucks For Faulty Air Bags
Ford Motor Co. said it would recall about 144,000 F-150 models in the United States and Canada from the 2005 and 2006 model years over a risk that airbags could deploy because of a short circuit.

The automaker said a mistake in the assembly of the trucks at its Norfolk, Va., plant could cause an airbag wire in the steering wheel to short circuit.

ah...ha...ha...ha... That's is funny one. And we probably have 100,000+ by now saying how Toyota is suck and etc. Even with of this recall Toyota still make the most reliable cars on the road today. The number of recall compare to the number of cars they produces per year are still very small.

Funny ... Reuters puts the number recalled at 280946 vehicles ... common 009, this isn't Hyundai you can actually post facts this time !

Don't forget the recall on the Windstar either last week ! common buddy, you've got 400 000 recalls on it due to subframes collapsing ( Ford ordered dealerships to buy back the vehicles it couldn't repair !!! )

The toll so far ? 7 crashes with injuries

Seems like a big deal to me !

Now that's hard to beat.... How about trying to advise drivers with a air-bag warning light.... but hey first Ford would have to figure that out it this is to Ford a ''MISSION IMPOSSIBLE ''

(hangs head)

...only on our most popular model. Ah well, people don't really need airbags these days.
