they look the same because that is classic Porsche styling.......I wouldn't change a thing, they continue to look classy and sporty with a more modern touch each generation.

It is a nice design, and I believe they have pretty much perfected their shape thru wind tunnels, weight distribution and etc. But i do feel that they should make a bit more modification to their 911 body styles. Their lights could be designed differently without giving up the overall impression.

The Caymen's form I think is nicer than the 911 body style in some angles. from a side view the Caymen looks a bit too long in the back while the 911 looks perfect. I applaud Porsche for makign the Carrera GT which looks amazing, but is not very "porsche-like"

I guess in the end it is a very fine line that sets the opinions apart.

Does the rear window come out or is it fixed?

What are the implications for handling, performance and fuel economy of a targa if the rear end is fixed. Isn't it like driving a beer mug with the open end at the front, and won't there be an extraordinary amount of drag?

Can a physics major respond please? - because if the handling, performance and economy remain reasonable with this new Porsche I'm interested in getting one.

They can not redesign a design that has been working for them for the longest time. It is quite obvious it is their trademark for that type of look. Sure went different on the Carrera GT but in actuality it's still very much alike the other Porsches.

Just like the BMW Ribcage grill. They've had it in all their designs.
