Aston Martin chief exec Dr Ulrich Bez gave hints that there may soon be a new generation of models that would go back to the classic 'straight six' engine configuration. This tidbit is of interest to enthusiasts due to the close relationship of all of Aston Martin’s current performance models under the skin. Wow it would interested to see if they're going to use a turbo or twin turbo in this straight six engines to give the same amount or more horse power to the current line up.

If that was the case, then there would me more than just Subaru and Citroen trying front mounted H6.

For once I agree with veyron. The H6 is harder to package and accessory mounting/routing/repair is non-traditional (less mechanics are familiar vs v6s).

Very good points. It isn't like AM's 4.2 is putting out huge numbers (the TVR 4.0 I6 in the Sagaris was putting out similar numbers years ago without forced induction even if the smoothness wasn't present).

BMW has a straight six. A straight six is smoother then a V6 in power delivery.
