001 Gets A Better Look At Lamborghini's Past, Present AND Future
One of the most lustful brands on the road today is Lamborghini. At some point in any gearhead's life, there is one particular automobile from Sant'Agata that speaks to them.
The best way to tell is to ask which poster was hung on their wall as a kid.
For some it was the Countach, others the Diablo and for the latest generation it was the Murcielago. Although those fascinating machines were nearly artwork, Lamborghini is planning a shift to better their product lineup. And that's what 001 was there to see.
Audi wasn't the only brand celebrating lightweight tech, as you can see below, Lamborghini has implemented lightweight tech into its latest product the LP700-4 "Aventador." And the benefits have been quantified as such: 30 percent less weight when "Body In White," and there is an increase of 150 percent torsional stiffness.
Take a look below at the past, present and --more importantly-- the FUTURE of Lamborghini, from 001's lens.

So.............the best Lambo could come up with after 8 years is a
Super Gallardo????
Don't get me wrong- the internal specs on this are awesome, but externally for Lambo this is where it's at.
And the body styling while nice is also very.........booooorish.
I'm thinking the guy that designed the Aventador also designed the A8.

Disagree, it's a perfect blend of Reventon and Estoque. Still the leader in super car styling.

To put it another way........
Lambo needed more Countach (nice stylish rear wing etc) and less Gallardo...
