GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: Is The Alfa Romeo 4C The Alfa You've ALWAYS Dreamed Of?

GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: Is The Alfa Romeo 4C The Alfa You've ALWAYS Dreamed Of?
It has to be. I mean, just look at it.

Bathed in a beautifully done matte red, the Alfa Romeo 4C is a stunning piece of metal as it makes its debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. One thing that is interesting; it is smaller than you think.

Take note of its teeny proportions. After you digest that, consider this: with all of the use of aluminum and carbon fiber, the car weighs less than 850kg, which is less than 1,900 pounds! That's unhead of in today's market.

Granted, something tells me that much carbon would NEVER make its way into a production vehicle, which is expected to price for around 45,000 Euros.

Here's the good news, according to Alfa, it plans to bring the 4C to the real world with production starting in late 2012. Expect it to make an appearance in the States too!

With styling elements derived from what appears to be an Alfa 8C (front end), Ferrari 599 (rear & taillights) and Lotus Evora (roofline), it doesn't seem to get much better than this.

I'll take mine in matte red too, please.

At least they (Audi/Alfa) offer a car like that. That's more than we can say for Lexus. The SC430 isn't even in the conversation.

The date was perfection. We had a threesome. I guess that answers your question. They are not the same person.

Oh yeah... Parez also has a Lexus SC430 which is the best luxury convertible ever made.

Owned a 1968 Alfa Duetto when new Mrs Robinson and there is something special about each Alfa...it may not be the best performer, best looking or best made but it wins you over with its charms and personality...like the women most of us marry and are better for than
the ones we lusted after who look great but can't cook.

this thing is ugly! Can't imagine with the production model will look like if this is the concept. That front end is just horrible to look at.

Yes, I agree. The problem, however, is that pretty much every car Alfa Romeo makes has that front end. Its their heritage and all that, but I think they should just drop it. Its ugly.

It's not bad looking. Further it's light and it's RWD! If they sold it for 40 grand in the US it would be a better value then the Lotus Elise(cheaper as well and it's also bigger for more room). But is it my dream Alfa? I'd have to say no. My dream Alfa is a production version of the Duettotanta from last years show. Now that car is absolutely beautiful!
However if Alfa decide to sell it here you can bet there will be many buyers at 40 grand. And it's rear wheel drive!!!!!!

It certainly has some strong points, and I like the mate red paint, but wouldn't buy it 'cause it's too small for my taste.

The Duettotanto concept is prettier then this. However the idea of of a midengined Alfa at a semi affordable price is quite appealing.Note to Alfa please work on intake and exsaust noise. This engine tends to be a little too quiet.I still think that wants this car is sold here along with the Giulia, Alfa will offer a proper spider in higher volumes for sale at a lower price. Back to this car. It's about 7 or 8 inches longer then a Lotus Elise. I hope the production version has a bit more room then the Lotus. I sat in an Elise once. It is truely a difficult car to get in and out of.The Evora should outsell it even though it is more expensive. Alfa should take note. Bring on a production Duettotanto.
