BMW i8 Supercar will use a gasoline engine instead of a diesel

BMW’s sales and marketing boss Ian Robertson said that its new ‘i’ sub-brand will be expanded to offer a full range of alternatively fueled cars. LOL..... How does a sub-BMW brand produce a SUPERcar while BMW doesn't have any? what's so SUPER?

BMW M is also considered a sub-brand by BMW, and you would consider an M3 a BMW right? So a supercar i8 is still a BMW. Plus The M5, and M6 will be the fastest vehicles BMW produces with close to 600hp.
