Bentley working on a new SUV, report says
As Bentley expands its range, it is moving away from a cheaper, entry-level model and is more likely to add a vehicle priced near its current range of £140,000 to £230,000, according to a report from Autocar. Bentley is making the change because it thinks that this better fits its brand positioning. But then, Bentley has yet to determine what the model’s form will be. I think it's a bit risky, because it's a land that Bentley never touched, but who knows? (if they make something as classy as a Range Rover) the rich people will buy.

Exactly

With the quality of the next Range Rover in serious doubt i think Bentley has a chance to steal some wealthy Range Rover Loyalists.

I think the only thing in-doubt about LR is the next RR refresh or next-gen model design. Besides adding new models the the lineup, not much has been done to the Range Rover line exterior.

I think a Bentley SUV is the next logical step for VW to take the brand. Since Rolls-Royce has always played "top fiddle" when comparing the two brands, it would be very had to see a possible R-R SUV ever being considered. Bentley, on the other hand, could hugely benefit the way BMW & Audi has in offering a full-size luxury SUV. The mechanicals & engines are already there (from the Q7 program) --- that would've been the hard part if started from scratch. The easy part is designing an exterior to properly drape the vehicle in Bentley fashion. Can't wait to see the concepts and test mules.

All they need to do is rebadge the Q7 V12 TDI as a Bentley and it'd be done! It sells for exactly that price in Germany now.
