Britta Gross, General Motors’ director of global energy systems, said that she expects that there will be 1 million electric vehicles on U.S. roads by 2017 or 2018. This is later than President Obama's target date of 2016. Gross made these comments at a recent Edison Foundation conference. She said that GM has to “watch demand." Well it might help them reach their goal if they stop gouging folks at the dealers when they try to buy one... Hopefully GM can also make the volt cheaper so more folks can afford to buy one.

Well coal can be cleaned to 99% with todays technology if put into place. We have enough coal in the USA to run all the electric cars for hundreds of years with no need to use oil imported from overseas.

And that Gm wouldnt be in 10% of that market. Nissan is already leading the way in the US with the leaf.
