VIDEO: If You're Going To Evade The Police, Make Sure They're Not Driving One Of These
If you've ever seen the blues and twos come on while speeding and you're in a high-performance vehicle, I think it is safe to say that many of us have debated for a split second "I wonder if I could take 'em." Let's get real, the law enforcement fleet that is largely made up of Ford Crown Victorias and Chevrolet Impalas has not aged well. At all.

Although we've seen a bevy of new police vehicles coming to a town near you, a couple that have stood out are the new Ford Interceptors.

Not quite sure why? Well, watch and see how they perform in a variety of real-world situations.

Now keep this in mind: are superspeeders essentially screwed?

**Take a look at the videos down below and weigh in on the comments

Ford has released a series of six videos with the Taurus and Explorer-based police vehicles undergoing various tests performed by police officers. The performance, handling and durability of the Interceptors were tested in a series of real-world police maneuvers and driving conditions and then compared to those of the competitors. The six videos show Ford's police cars taking on the Chevrolet Tahoe PPV and Dodge Charger Pursuit in a series of tests to find out which are the most capable purpose-built police cars...

LOL all 5 cars I own (2004 Turbo RX-8,2010 Nissan GT-R,2009 ///M3 sedan and 2009 supercharged ZO6) will out run and out handle these cars. As far as police cars go,its pretty impressive. It would be cool to see a Gallardo or 911 turbo cop car like they have in Europe.Than I'd be scared.

doesn't really matter what he's driving or what you are -- you might outrun the police car, you can't outrun his radio.

"you might outrun the police car, you can't outrun his radio."

- Only if you stay on the same road.

His comment was directed at the article title about what the Police Officer was driving.

Based on that purely, rxh8me9000 is totally correct.

Stupid comments about not being able to outrun the radio is irrelevant as the title was focussed on the speed capabilities of the Police Cruiser.

I guess nobody has EVER lost a pursuing state trooper ever since they started using radios.

Oh for heavens sake. Ford really dug deep to find some way of having their interceptors outdo Chevrolet and Dodge. They used AWD versions of the Taurus and the Explorer against rear wheel drive versions of the Charger and the Tahoe. How about pitching AWD versions of the other vehicles. Sheesh. Any way you cut it, Ford is gonna lose out big time to Chevrolet when the Caprice hits the streets with its rear drive chassis.
